Green Day are back with the new studio album “21st Century Breakdown” and a world tour starting in July. The 2004 album “American Idiot” won two Grammies and sold almost 800 000 copies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland alone. The new LP is divided into three acts and tells the story of a young couple, Christian and Gloria, who try to find their way through the promises and the chaos of the first years of this century.
Billie Joe Armstrong (guitar, vocals), Mike Dirnt (bass) and Tre Cool (drums) have been working on “21st Century Breakdown” since 2006, and producer Butch Vig (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage) has added the finishing touch to the album.
On November 6th, the American punk rockers will present their work live in Vienna’s Stadthalle! No more than two tickets may be purchased per person.
