Info

On the 2006 album "Last Man Standing,” distinguished figures of rock like Mick Jagger, Bruce Springsteen, John Fogerty, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart and many more tipped their hats to Jerry Lee Lewis by means of 21 duets. Ever since, the co-founder of Rock 'n' Roll has been on everyone’s lips again. The Killer’s back!

Lewis recorded his first record back in 1954. In 1956, he was discovered by Jack Clement, a producer and engineer at the legendary Sun Records studios. This brought him on the way of joining the league of Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley, who were releasing their first records with Sun at that time. In 1957, "Whole Lotta Shakin Going On" made him world-famous, and his "pumping piano" became a trademark. Attacking his piano with elbows and feet, his frenetic show became a sensation. Furthermore, he would always play standing – another world first.
His scandalous lifestyle (such as the marriage to his 13-year-old cousin) furthered his reputation as the "meanest man in Rock 'n' Roll."
Various worldwide hits like "High School Confidential", a cover version of Ray Charles' "What'd I Say," and "Great Balls Of Fire," massive drug problems, several unresolved deaths and tragic accidents in his personal environment further promoted the myths surrounding his person.
In 1986, Lewis was one of the first to be introduced into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. Against all odds and obstacles, Jerry Lee Lewis has returned to the stages of the world over and over again. Throughout the years, he has proved that his frenetic show remains unrivaled.

On December 3rd, 2008, “The Killer” finally returns to the Planet.tt Bank Austria Halle for an exclusive show!
