On July 24th, the first “Save the World Awards” will be presented. They are the world’s first great, global awards for people and organizations standing up for the conservation of the world. With the motto “Heal the World,” the gala will be a tribute to Michael Jackson. Artists and companions who have worked with Michael Jackson, but also famous personalities he has influenced with his music, will perform at the world’s only nuclear power plant that has never been active.
American star-producer Ray Chew is the musical director of the BET Awards, the Grammy Awards and the Apollo Theatre, where Michael Jackson and The Jackson Five celebrated their first successes. On July 24, he and his legendary band will come from New York to Austria for a live performance of hits like "Heal The World," "Black Or White," "Man In The Mirror" and "Earth Song." Chew, who has worked with Jackson’s producer Quincey Jones as well stars like Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, Dionne Warwick, Rihanna, Sting and Alicia Keys, says that the great gala at the nuclear power plant Zwentendorf will bring Michael’s music back to life for one night. The great finale of the “Save the World Awards” will be a live performance of the song “We Are The World,” performed by an all star band.
