Biography - Spectaculum zu Friesach

Das erste Spectaculum in Friesach fand 1999 statt, als Auftakt zur Kärntner Landesausstellung 2001 "Schauplatz Mittelalter Friesach". Anfangs fand das Spectaculum nur samstags in der gesamten Stadt statt.

Von 2010 bis 2014 wurde das Fest im Garten des Dominikanerklosters auf zwei Tage erweitert, mit neuen Lagergruppen als Highlights.

Zum 800-jährigen Stadtjubiläum kehrte das Fest in die Innenstadt zurück und fand seitdem alle zwei Jahre statt.

Bei dem Spectaculum in Friesach kann man eine Vielzahl von mittelalterlichen Aktivitäten und Attraktionen erleben. Dazu gehören historische Märkte, Ritterturniere, Gaukler- und Feuershows, Musik- und Tanzvorführungen sowie Handwerksvorführungen.
