Desolat from Gelsenkirchen combine grunge, post-punk and fuzzy indie into a sound that is raw, urgent and packed with memorable melodies.
Since reforming in 2023, the band have quickly made their mark on the German alternative scene. Their debut album "Ückendorfication", produced by Helge Hasselberg of Trümmer, was released in 2024 via Dackelton Records and Broken Silence. Think Nirvana, early Love A and Wipers, dragged through the dust of the Ruhr area.
Following tours and shows with Leftovers, 24/7 Diva Heaven, Slime and Swain, Desolat now return with their new album "Obsolet". Produced in Vienna by fazo666fazo, known for his work with Baits, Heckspoiler and Lovehead, the record sounds darker, louder and more urgent than ever.
"Obsolet" will be released on October 16, 2026 via Dackelton Records and Broken Silence. On November 13, Desolat bring it to Vienna for a special live show at Lucia.
