SOUND OF THEN, NOW AND WHAT'S TO COME
Born in Istanbul’s underground to a new creative base in France, Ductape is a Turkish Post-Punk / Darkwave duo formed by Çağla Güleray (vocals, synthesizer) and Furkan Güleray (guitar, bass, drum programming). Since emerging in 2019, they have developed a distinctive sound built on melancholic melodies, driving rhythms, and Turkish and English lyrics full of pathos, drawing from the atmosphere of 80s Post-Punk and Darkwave.
Known for their emotionally charged and immersive live performances, Ductape have established themselves as one of the most compelling contemporary acts in the Goth scene. With critically acclaimed releases like "Echo Drama" the duo continues to captivate audiences, positioning themselves as a rising force worldwide.
Their music balances raw intensity with a cinematic sense of atmosphere, while Çağla’s distinctive vocals and Furkan’s signature guitar work shape the band’s unmistakable sound. With four albums, two EPs to their name and their powerful live shows have taken them to some of the scene’s most prominent festivals, as well as headlining tours. Following their ambitious 82-show Echo Drama Tour across Europe and Latin America in 2025, the duo continues to tour Europe in 2026 as they prepare for the release of their upcoming album "Faded Flowers" in September.
Ductape have already unveiled three singles from the upcoming album "Faded Flowers", set to be release in September 18th.
The first single from the album, Fine, received an overwhelmingly positive response worldwide, resonating strongly with both listeners and tastemakers across the post-punk and darkwave scenes. This was followed by the Turkish-language track Gölgesiz, showcasing the band’s ability to blend their native language with their signature melancholic intensity. Most recently, Obscure was released, further hinting at the darker and more refined sound of Faded Flowers.
With Faded Flowers, Ductape are poised to elevate their position within the global post-punk and darkwave scene, confident, evolving, and ready to reach a wider audience than ever before.
