Pirate, Robot, Ninja
Date: Aug 01, 2026
Time: 11:00-14:00
Are you a pirate who dives into scenes with instinct and emotion - or a robot who spots patterns, tracks the game, and builds structure? In this playful workshop, you’ll train both sides of your improv and discover how to move between them with confidence.
Follow impulses, make bold choices, sharpen your analytical skills, and learn when to surrender to the moment or take control of the scene. Your mission: become a ninja improviser who can combine emotional truth, fearless play, and clear comic structure - and give every scene exactly what it needs.
Peter Graff, founder and artistic director of American Improv, and Los Angeles-based improviser Jeannie Ceglar have been performing together for over a decade. Together, they teach how to bring playful characters, sharp comedic instincts, and emotionally grounded scene work to the stage.
