Alt-J is a British alternative pop band from Leeds. The band''s name means a combination of keys, in English language on Mac keyboards, which is used to display the character Δ which has a deeper meaning for the band. The delta symbol is used in mathematical equations as a symbol of change. When the bands choose this name, it found itself at a turning point in life, which had brought about many changes, as Gwil Sainsbury said.
The band plays as they themselves have stated alternative-pop, which is based on folk verses, synthesizer sounds, hip-hop syncopations and short vocal harmonies.
trotz großem Andrang schnelle abfertigung der Warteschlange
Bis zur Vorband mussten wir eine Stunde warten ... diese war etwas unerwartet wild unterwegs im vergleich zu Alt J jedoch dennoch sehr gut.
nach 45 min Vorband und 30 min Umbauen zu einem Späktakulärem Bühnenbild gaben Alt J dann 1.5 h ihr bestes.

Ich war das erste Mal im der Stadthalle Wien und war sowohl vom Ambiente als auch von der Ausstattung sehe begeistert!
Die Getränkepreise waren etwas unvernünftig aber typisch für solch Veranstaltungen (0,5l Cola ca. 4 Euro)
Alt-J selbst war sehen und bezahlen Horenswaert!
Die Bühnenahow l, Welche ganz ohne PRotechnik auskommen musste (indoor) war wie in einem Musikvideo und wirklich sehr toll!

Spätestens beim dritten Lied wurden vom Sänger die hohen Töne nicht mehr wirklich getroffen, Schlagzeuger und Keyboarder waren aber, wie die Liederauswahl, top. Das Publikum wurde leider kaum mit eingebunden oder angesprochen.
Alles in allem war es ein mittelmäßiges Konzert: guter Sound, mittelmäßige Performance.
