Hammerfall (band''s own spelling: HammerFall) is a Swedish power metal band that was founded in Gothenburg in 1993. The band name is taken from the song "Lucifer’s Hammer" by the American band Warlord. "Lucifer’s Hammer" contains the line "The Hammer will fall on you!"
