1981 im britischen Birmingham gegründet, vertritt die Band Napalm Death seit Beginn ihrer Existenz die extreme Spielart des Metal und des Punk. Ihr Debütalbum "Scum" (1987) gilt als Wegweiser für die Entwicklung des Grindcore. Ihrem extremen Sound zum Trotz gelangte Napalm Death mit dem zweiten Album "From Enslavement to Obliteration" in den späten 1980er-Jahren der 1. Platz in den britischen Indie-Charts. Seit ihrer Gründung veröffentlichten die britischen Musiker 16 Studioalben sowie unzählige Demos, EPs, Kompilationen und Live-Alben. 2015 brachten Napalm Death ihr aktuelles Album "Apex Predator - Easy Meat" heraus.
Es waren nicht viele Gäste in der Arena, aber die waren dabei, genauso wie die Musiker. Ich bin nicht mit großen Erwartungen hingekommen, mehr um einen Bekannten zu begleiten. Es war aber ein intensives Erlebnis, dass mir großen Spaß gemacht.
