Das britische Rock-Duo Royal Blood wurde 2013 von Mike Kerr (Gesang, Bass) und Ben Thatcher (Schlagzeug) im britischen Worthington gegründet. Im November 2013 veröffentlichten Royal Blood ihre Debüt-Single "Out of the Black", drei Monate später folgte "Little Monster". Im August 2014 erschien schließlich ihr selbstbetiteltes Debütalbum. 2015 wurde das Duo mit den NMW Awards in den Kategorien "Best Live Band" und "Best New Band" ausgezeichnet.
