The The, founded by Matt Johnson in the late 1970s, evolved from an experimental project into a defining voice with profound lyrics and unique soundscapes. Originally conceived as a multimedia art collective, the band combines influences from film, electronic music, and classic songwriting. With groundbreaking albums like "Soul Mining" (1983) and "Infected" (1986), alongside innovative projects such as soundtracks and documentaries, Matt Johnson has shaped a distinctive artistic identity. After a long hiatus, The The returned to the stage in 2018 with "The Comeback Special". In 2024, they embark on the "Ensouled World Tour", continuing their extraordinary career.
