The Toy Dolls, 1979 in Sunderland (England) gegründet, ist eine Punkrockband, die das Prädikat „Kult“ absolut verdient hat. Live sind die Mannen um Gründungsmitglied & Gitarrist Michael „Olga“ Algar sowieso eine Macht: Am Bass Tommy Goober (Thomas Blyth) & am Schlagzeug The Amazing Mr Duncan (Duncan Redmonds). The Toy Dolls haben den Fun in den Punk gesteckt, "Nellie The Elephant" unsterblich gemacht und sind noch immer auf Tour. Im März 2012 veröffentlichte die Band ihr 12. Studioalbum mit dem Titel „The Album After The Last One“.
Technisch brillant, unterhaltsam, schön anzusehen, wie man auf der Bühne interagiert. Ich bin aufs positivste überrascht. Von Wegen Punk ist simpel gestrickt.
